About Blood Diamonds

Conflict Diamonds are stones which are produced by men, women and children who are forced into this labor by rebels who are opposed to internationally recognized governments. The money which is made by selling these conflict diamonds is used for purchasing weapons and for funding military actions. Participation in these conflict diamonds leads to innocent people being tortured and murdered among other dreadful actions that are taken, to keep these operations going.

DiamondSafe Conflict free Diamond policy

At DiamondSafe every diamond we sell is authorized and certified and warranted to be conflict free. We only purchase from, and deal with suppliers who are respected and who stand by the standards of the Kimberly Process. At diamondsafe we function under the compliance of the law such as the patriot act which requires that dealers who sell diamonds in the united states must abide with the Kimberly process or otherwise will be penalized from homeland security, the us justice department and the us treasury.

The Kimberly Process

Diamondsafe fully supports the Kimberly Process Certification Scheme (KPCS), this process was established in 2000 and was later adopted by the United Nations. What the Kimberly Process does it ensures that diamonds which enter the United States are all conflict free; To mark authorized dealing and ensured legality of diamonds, auditing systems are established, to ensure that the diamonds were produced, sold and exported to conflict free stations, the gems are tracked from the point of origin to the point of delivery.

Diamondsafe - Our Goal

At DiamondSafe, we make sure that from our side we adhere to the laws and regulations and only provide our customers with conflict free diamonds. We only work with suppliers who follow the patriot act and the Kimberly process completely. If we ever found out that one of our suppliers has violated or is violating this process we would end our business relationship with them completely and immediately. DiamondSafe never deals in Polished Diamonds that come through unauthorized or non-professional sources of trade. At DiamondSafe we know that our customers need to know where the diamonds they purchase are coming from, and whether they are from legitimate sources or not, which is why we will continue to work with suppliers that abide by these standards, and we will continue to support and promote all processes that work to keep the diamond industry clean and respectable.
